The road is now dry and in fairly good shape and the water temperatures have dropped into the high 60’s due to the cooler weather. Expect it to climb back into the 70’s over the next week. Wilson was stocked with 28,000 rainbow trout this week. The lake is still spilling, though flows are subsiding, and anglers report good fishing below the spillway and the falls. Fishing conditions should be similar to South Fork. There has been a May fly hatch going on with large mayflies and anglers have had success fishing a #10 hares ear nine feet below an indicator. Fish have also been responding to damsel fly nymphs. Fishing has been fair to good for trout and slow to fair for bass. Bass fishing should pick up with the warmer water temperatures, but the biologist responsible for this water says not to expect limits of keeper bass this year.
