The Truckee's current flow in Reno is 263 cfs. The flows on the river are some of the best we’ve seen in the last 4 years. August is a tough month for fishing, but we’ve been getting some great reports from anglers that know how to fish the Truckee. Fish exceeding the 20 inch mark are not that uncommon. Fly fisherman can have success nymphing with mayflies, caddis, hoppers, stoneflies and crayfish patterns. Fishing will only get better with the cooler weather coming soon. Over 75,000 fish have been stocked in the Truckee River this year.
