The Nestucca dropped into fishable condition late last week but bumped back up on Saturday. It looks like it’s going to be on the drop for the next couple days and may get in shape towards the end of the week, then back up again.

Three Rivers is getting a handful of winter steelhead and Cedar Creek hatchery has recycled a few already. With high water on the North Coast this week, Three Rivers is probably a good bet for steelhead.

The lower main stem Nestucca should be picking up for these early hatchery steelhead as well, but this week high water conditions could be challenging. Chinook fishing is mostly done on the Nestucca although there may still be a few late fish around.
