Harrison Pass is closed due to snow and anglers should plan on accessing the Refuge through Secret Pass. The road is frozen and not bad in the mornings, but muddy coming out. The collection ditch is experiencing some skim ice, but for the most part is open and with the forecast of higher temps should be ice free most of the time. Egg patterns under an indicator continue to produce some fish. Fly rodders should also try the usual assortment of nymphs under an indicator as well as wooly, seal and crystal buggers. Scuds, midges, and small Blue Winged Olives are all worth a try. Save the BWO’s for the sunny afternoons. Of course the usual small hares ears, PT’s, copper Johns and buggers are all staples here.
