Trout fishing has been fair to good at Hyatt. Just over 5,000 legal-size trout were stocked recently, and some large rainbow trout continue to be caught. Still fishing with bait, trolling lures, and fly fishing have all been productive. Fishing for largemouth bass should be improving as the water warms.

The reservoir is 62 percent full. The Mountain View boat ramp is open. The campgrounds were scheduled to open this Friday, May 26 but water service is out pending repairs. Anglers also should note that the parking are near the dam has been closed by the Bureau of Reclamation this season as the agency begins repairs on the dam.
