Fall Chinook fishing on the Yaquina river/bay has been slow but a few fish are being caught each day. Fishing will continue to improve as more fish begin to enter the lower estuary waiting for the fall rains. Expect numbers of fall Chinook entering the bays and estuaries to increase throughout September and into October. Best techniques include trolling herring/spinners and bobber fishing with bait.
