Commission meets Jan. 18 in Salem

The Fish and Wildlife Commission meets Friday, Jan. 18 at ODFW Headquarters in Salem, 4034 Fairview Industrial Drive SE.
The meeting begins at 8 a.m. and follows this agenda.

The Commission will be asked to:
- Adopt annual updates to the schedule of damages used in assessing commercial fishing violations.
- Deny or initiate rulemaking for a petition that seeks to amend existing angling regulations for naturally produced spring Chinook salmon in the Rogue River. Before this agenda item, ODFW staff will brief the Commission on the Comprehensive Assessment and Update for the Rogue Spring Chinook Salmon Conservation Plan. The assessment documents implementation of key actions in the conservation plan, increasing returns of naturally produced spring Chinook salmon, and additional proposed actions that will contribute to achieving desired status.
- Consider fish ticket, dressed fish, and other housekeeping rule amendments for commercial fisheries in the Columbia River and Select Areas.
- Appoint members to the Commercial Fishery Permit board.
