Well it looks like we are going to have some pretty dang good fall catching! With the recent fish counts at Bonneville dam (closest to the ocean) for both Fall Chinook and "B run" steelhead it is going to be fun!

As a lot of you have heard, we are looking at getting over 20,000+ Fall Chinook over Lower Granite! It is going to be one of the better Chinook runs in the river! With a limit 3 adult's a day and one of those can have an extra fin(wild). The cool thing about these Fall Chinook is some times we can catch them over 30lbs! Currently over Lower Granite dam (closest to Idaho) there over 9,000 so far! This fishery closes on Oct. 18. We will start chasing these guys this next weekend Sept 18. Down in Lewiston at the confluence there has been some salmon and Steelhead caught. So far everything for this fall is looking very nice! We have room for you!

"B run" Steelhead counts at Bonneville are looking the best in quite a while! Probably the best in 4 or 5 years. Currently at Bonneville in the last 10 days there has been over 20,000 of theses great fighters headed our way. With The Columbia river being closed to Steelhead fishing we just might see more then 20,000! In the past 10 years an average Steelhead run to The Clearwater has been between 9000 and 14,000 fish. Lets keep our fingers, legs and toes crossed and hope they all get here! IDFG is going to tell us soon what we get for a season. Stay tuned: wefishhere.net      We also are booking trips for this currently. Still have dates open this fall! This season it will be Alan and myself doing the guiding.
