With temperatures expected to be quite cold this weekend, any sort of small increase in bass or crappie fishing success will likely dwindle as well. With the still low reservoir levels, boat accessibility is lacking, so expect to drag down personal watercraft to the water’s edge, or fish from the bank.
The RV Park is open but tent camping has closed for the season. All boat ramps are currently unusable due to extremely low reservoir levels. There is very little fishing pressure here.
For more information on park facilities closures visit the Jackson County Parks website.
The reservoir gained 250 acre feet of water over the weekend, continues to slowly rise and is at at 4 percent – still barely a puddle. The lake should be clearing by the weekend.
