Decent numbers of smaller striper were reported by aqueduct anglers using both bait and artificial lures. The bait anglers used cut sardines, anchovies, and jumbo live minnows for bites, and the lure throwers fooled them with flukes, topwater, and small shad imitation swimbaits. Catfish remained a good option last week, and they were eating dip bait smeared cut baits and chicken liver. There were also a few reports of striper boiling on shad in the mornings. Bass anglers reported decent fishing using soft plastics near the weeds and in slower moving water. Spooks and Whopper Ploppers continue to fooling bass when fished along the aqueduct banks.
