The lake held at 9 percent capacity and the DFWL stocked the lake with trout this week. Not much trout action going on here, but with the recent plant things should start picking up. Shore anglers can find trout with the usual garlic scented Powerbait, minijigs and spinners. The Bass action has been decent some days and slower on others. It’s still more of a quality over numbers game here, with most fish reported being better model fish to 7 pounds coming on jigs, swimbaits, big worms, and crankbaits. With the recent trout plant there should be a decent bite going on with trout imitation swimbaits. The catfish bite is steady on Dip Baits, cut baits, and frozen shad. Crappie are being reported around structure in 15 to 25-feet of water with small/medium shiners and minijigs.
