The Nehalem mainstem is a mostly wild steelhead river without any hatchery releases, but there is plenty of catch-and-release opportunity for wild steelhead. The Nehalem remains in good shape for the third week in a row, and the lower river (below Hwy 26) is “steelhead green”. For anglers willing to catch-and-release this basin will be a good bet again this week.
