The best bet was catfish and striper fishing

Water levels in Pyramid Lake have been near 86 percent of capacity, and fishing remains fair. The best bet was catfish and striper fishing. Striper anglers used cut sardines, anchovies, and nightcrawlers to fool fish near the marina and in Yellowbar. The bite has been hit or miss, but anglers who put in a full day often report limits. Catfish have been eating those same baits throughout the lake. Large and smallmouth remained lethargic last week, and anglers have been using finesse baits in deeper water to coax a few bites. Deep diving crankbaits worked along bluff walls for some better grade bass. Trout anglers reported fair fishing while using dough bait, nightcrawlers, pinched crawlers, and lures in the Marina.
