The first coho of the year arrived at Cole Rivers Hatchery

Reservoir releases have dropped to their typical October levels. The release from Lost Creek Reservoir is in the 800 cfs vicinity but will likely gain water from tributaries as rains continue. Dodge Bridge is around 1200 cfs.
Chinook fishing is closed in the upper Rogue. Artificial flies and lures only between Fishers Ferry and Shady Cove boat ramp Nov. 1-Dec. 31.
Hatchery summer steelhead are available. A few new summer steelhead had been collected at Cole Rivers Hatchery during the week of Oct. 24, bringing the season total to2,584.
The first coho of the year arrived at Cole Rivers Hatchery, with more fish likely available in November. Only adipose-clipped coho may be harvested.
Trout fishing is also open in the Rogue with a daily bag limit of 5 adipose fin-clipped (hatchery) trout. Anglers are encouraged to harvest they hatchery trout. Wild trout must be immediately released unharmed.
Anglers are asked to avoid wading and fishing near spawning spring Chinook salmon.
