The reservoir was stocked with thousands of rainbow trout last month, and trout fishing is good. Shore anglers report success using in-line spinners, spoons, worms and trout dough bait. The reservoir has open water with no reports of ice. The courtesy docks have been removed at the main ramp and the PWC ramp. The wedge docks are installed at both ramps. The Rock Cliff ramp remains out of the water. Please do not park in the middle of the roadway or drive off of the roadway at Rock Cliff. Vehicles are getting stuck and citations for off-road use are being issued. The Ross Creek non-motorized boat ramp remains out of the water. Check the state park's current conditions webpage for the latest information and note that you are launching and using the reservoir at your own risk. Bait fishing (using worms and trout dough bait) as well as actively fishing crankbaits, floating swimbaits, spoons and jigs (such as twist tail grubs, tubes and marabou jigs) is producing fish. Boat anglers have also been catching a mixture of trout species trolling spoons (such as Thomas Speedy Shiner, Acme Kastmaster or Luhr Jensen Needlefish), plug-style lures (such as Yakima Bait Flatfish, Luhr Jensen Kwikfish or Luhr-Jensen Hot Shot), crankbaits (such as Rapala Original Floating Minnow, Berkley Flicker Shad or 13 Fishing Troll Hunter), baitfish mimic streamer patterns and wooly bugger fly pattern
