Idaho Fish Report

We are now taking bookings for some of the most sporting Smallmouth Bass fishing offered anywhere! The Clearwater River in Idaho has some serious current. The boat scoots right along while you fire jigs or jerkbaits or cast streamers to pockets behind boulders and current edges and shelf or shoal dropoffs. I'm back rowing the whole time but that is to assist the correct presentation speed. The river pushes us along regardless. So, there is a neverending amount of targets to cast to with each one being a new opportunity for presentation for most likely another bite! Cast after cast the whole float trip! On light tackle these fish put up a super scrappy fight! Fun is always had by all for fly anglers as well as spinning anglers. Early season offers a very unique style of surface fishing with poppers and floating top water lures and flies. As the season matures and the water temperature climbs, these fish move into main current velocity flow to hunt the whole river channel for their prey making the fishing exciting because they eat in quite fast water!
