Water conditions continue to be excellent for late season spring Chinook fishing, but as the water temperatures warm the best success will be early morning or late evening. Anglers are reminded that only hatchery Chinook can be retained until June 1.
This is also the time of year to start looking for summer steelhead. Early summer steelhead are usually larger than fish returning later and with water temperatures cooler and flows higher than normal, anglers lucky enough to hook a steelhead should be prepared for some fun.
