Open and accessible all year. Most boat ramps might be closed except for the BLM Campground ramp. Fishing for crappie and largemouth bass has been slow but should pick up considerably especially for smaller bass. There was potentially an incredible catch of crappie under the Highway 66 bridge. This is definitely worth looking into.
Keep in mind that aquatic vegetation is very dense and can make fishing quite challenging.
There are abundant brown bullhead catfish. Fishing bait at night should be very effective. Bullhead are much more active several hours after sunset. Large goldfish up 12 inches are also abundant but rarely caught.
Water levels generally remain very similar and drop as the day progresses as water is released for power generation. There are numerous points of access on the reservoir as most property surrounding the reservoir is BLM or PacifiCorp property
