Winter steelhead can currently be found throughout the system and bright fish are still being caught by anglers. Reports of the occasional summer steelhead being picked up are also beginning to surface and the fist batch of spring Chinook are likely already in the river. Fishing pressure has died off a bit, but there are plenty of reasons to get out and fish.
USGS hydrological data readings from the Estacada gauge near Milo McIver State Park. Hydrologic data and river forecasts can also be accessed on the NOAA/National Weather Service NW River Forecast Center -- NW River Forecast Center.
