Idaho Fish Report

We've been catching some nice fish lately on the Clearwater River in Idaho! The Steelhead seem to be stealing the show this last week but there is a nice Fall Chinook I landed side drifting cured roe. I've been mainly side drifting bait lately. People sure do seem to enjoy feeling the fish take the bait while they're holding the rod. It's risky and more challenging than back trolling plugs but far more enthusing and interactive for the angler. Fishing was not easy this last week. The Fall Chinook were fussy and tough to get to bite. Thankfully Steelhead offered up some activity and excitement! I look forward to October being excellent Steelhead fishing with the numbers of fish we have coming daily over Lower Granite dam. With that said, we have available dates beginning in mid November.
