Trout fishing has improved for 12- to 16-inch fish. Many anglers are catching their limit, or close to it, in four to six hours by trolling with Rapalas and spinners, or using PowerBait or worms. Bass fishing has slowed down a bit because there is little to no cover, but anglers are catching two- to four-pound fish. The best bass fishing is on the north and east sides. Perch fishing is decent, but the average fish is very small: around six inches. Hyrum State Park will start a tagged fish contest in September. Thanks to park ranger Eric Bradshaw for the report.
