Fishing is slow from tubes and from the bank. Biologists have reported seeing an increase in dead fish along the shoreline. This is likely because warmer water is adding more stress to fish that are released. To help keep fish alive, please use stronger lines and bring fish in quickly. Try to keep their gills in the water at all times and make sure your hands are wet before handling them. Using rubber or silicon nets will prevent damage to scales and the fish's protective slime layer. Please park in the parking area and not on the ramp (inside the cattle guard); it will help others launch with fewer delays. Calder has catch-and-release regulations. You must use flies and lures only -- bait is not allowed. See the Utah Fishing Guidebook for details.
