On March 3, fishing success and angling pressure were pretty steady. Most people were catching fish in the inlet and along the east shore. One angler who frequently fishes the pond has had the most success in the afternoons. He's been catching trout on a perch-colored 1.5-inch floating Rapala. However, he has also had success on any lure with black or red markings. The catch rate usually comes in spurts.
