Cats and bass at Santa Margarita

Water temperature is 63 degrees. Bass, crappie and catfish all are on the bite. Lots of 3,4 and 5 pound bass are being caught all over the lake as they move into shallow water. Reaction baits, jigs and worms work. Big bass of the week was an 8.3 pounder caught by Ken Hemer. Big fish of the week was an 18.5 pound channel cat. (805) 438-1522
