The warmer water has fish actively feeding. Try using PowerBait or Jake's spinners. Walleye anglers should try using diving rattletraps between 15 to 20 feet. The main ramp at Deer Creek is currently open, but the island ramp is closed until further notice. The Charleston dirt ramp has closed permanently. The reservoir is 93 percent full. There are 20 tagged fish in the reservoir. If you catch one, return it to the state park office for a prize. Please measure the tagged fish in millimeters -- or any other fish you catch that has a clipped fin -- and report the data to the state park office or the Springville DWR office. For current conditions, call the state park at 435-654-0171 or visit the Deer Creek State Park Facebook page to see the latest updates.
