Trout bite up and down at Quarry Lakes

Trout bite has been up-and-down. A recent DFW plant has helped prospects. Best trout of the week was 10.3 pounder landed by Leo Madrigal of San Jose with white Power Eggs from the left side of the swim beaches. Orange baits have been the best trout bait offering. Bass bite has picked up. Silver minnow imitations or Kastmasters are getting bass. Most are 1 to 2 pounds. (510) 544-3133
