Fishing is very good for cutthroat trout. Anglers are having the most success trolling or jigging on the east side of the lake anywhere from Cisco Beach to the state line into Idaho. Anglers who are trolling are using flat fish and larger rattle crankbaits. The fish are about 50 to 70 feet deep. Anglers who are jigging are having success near the rock pile, Rainbow Cove and Cisco Beach areas in about the same depths using tube jigs tipped with cisco. Fishing from the Utah State Park Marina has been fair for cutthroat trout in the morning using spoons and different types of crankbaits. Remember: You must release any cutthroat trout without a healed fin clip.
