Spring runoff is causing the lake to appear muddy and water levels are low. Please use caution when launching your boats. Anglers report catfish biting out of Lincoln Beach in shallow water. You may trying using carp or white bass meat tipped on your hooks. The carp are now spawning and can be spotted in pods around the lakeshores. Water temperatures are hovering right around 60°F. Mosquitoes have started to appear, so take some bug repellent when you're out. The Utah Lake Commission will be hosting the annual Utah Lake Festival on Free Fishing Day on June 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. Visit utahlake.gov for more details on the event. Northern pike have been seen and caught in the Hobble Creek tributary, west of I-15. If you catch any northern pike of any size in Utah Lake or its tributaries, please bring it to the DWR office in Springville (1115 N. Main Street) or the Utah Lake State Park office off of Center Street. The lake is currently 64 percent full. The lake is currently 62 percent full.
