Idaho Fish Report

Fishing for trout has been good at Howard Prairie. Legal-sized trout have been stocked to complement trout stocked last year and a good number of 15-20 inch holdovers. Trollers have had best success, but anglers fishing with powerbait from the jetty at the marina have caught fish recently. Fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass has been slow, but should improve with the warmer weather expected this week. All the boat ramps are open. The marina at the Howard Prairie Resort is open and boat rentals are available. The lake is now 68 percent full.
