Coho and Chinook salmon will be entering the North Fork Nehalem this month. There are a few fish that have pushed into the river, but thus far the fishing has been slow. The coho will show up first and fishing can be decent below the hatchery. Anglers are reminded that there is NO RETENTION of wild coho in the Nehalem basin this year; only adipose fin-clipped coho may be retained.
