Flows have been pretty stable over the last few weeks, currently around 1,320 cfs, although rain in the forecast means these conditions are likely to change by the weekend. Most of the fish destined for the South Santiam have already arrived. They can be found for the most part below the deadline at Wiley Creek Park and in sections downstream.
Fishing is generally best when flows are below 3,000 cfs.
The entire river is now closed to trout fishing.
