Idaho Fish Report

Fishing effort has decreased over the last couple weeks, as the river has been on the drop

Winter steelhead can now be found throughout the Clackamas River, and anglers are catching a steady number of fish when conditions allow. Anglers would do best to check river levels before heading to the river. Fresh fish should be entering the system with each passing rain event for the next several months.

Though fishing effort has decreased over the last couple weeks, as the river has been on the drop, anglers have been consistently finding fish near the mouth of Dog Creek at the hatchery.

Flow and visibility on the Clackamas will be affected by each passing front and change in snow levels.

USGS hydrological data readings from the Estacada gauge near Milo McIver State Park. Hydrologic data and river forecasts can also be accessed on the NOAA/National Weather Service NW River Forecast Center -- NW River Forecast Center.
