The winter steelhead fishing season is still officially open, but most anglers have called it quits for the season.
Largemouth bass fishing is starting to pick up with the longer, warmer days. Bass will start to move into shallow water near cover as the water temperatures continue to increase. The water temperature had been in the mid-50s late last week.
Trout fishing in the lakes is open year-round. A few trout anglers have started to troll for trout in Tenmile Lakes with limited success. Anglers will want to troll slow in deep water until the water temperatures warm up a little more.
Trout fishing in streams will reopen May 22.
