Current flow is around 3,090 cfs and average river temperature is around 60F.
Wild steelhead harvest is now closed, but the river is still open for hatchery steelhead and early summer steelhead are moving through.
Spring Chinook are moving through the middle Rogue. No wild harvest below Fishers Ferry until June 1. Consult Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations for open sections and bag limits.
Warm weather forecast for the weekend will likely keep river levels at similar levels. Plugs or plunking may be a good bet. Drifting eggs is also effective.
Trout season opened May 22.
Current flow, temp and turbidity conditions for the Rogue can be found at the USGS stream gauges here, or checking the City of Grants Pass water page’s river data here.
