The flows coming out of island Park is 996 cfs. Water slightly off color and there’s some grass coming down through the system. What’s been tough in this section of the Henry Fork has been our above normal temperatures. Even with that some good fishing can be found if you get on the water early or get out on it later in the afternoon or evening. The Box Canyon Has been fishing fairly well early in the day with a dry drop rig using a size 8 Duracell Chubby, size 8,10 Pats Rubber legs, size 16 bullet nymphs In green and black and red, and The redneck in size 16. The Ranch has been fishing tough the warm temperatures followed by the high demand for water has made this section lately. Very tough. Try to get on the water early or later in the day. If you want to find that fish you are looking for try using Lawson’s hopper size 10, Tan juicy hopper size 10, Honey Ant size 10, and a size 12 Foam beetle. Warm river to Ashton Section has been fishing fairly good even in the hot temperatures. Dry dropping Pretty much the name of the game this time of year and You can also try streamers. Raspberry Chubby size 8, size 10 Pats Rubber legs, size 16 redneck, size 18 mic drop, and a size 14 Brown Zebra Midge. Streamer patterns to try would be a Rusty Trombone. Barley legal olive, and a copper Zonker.
