Idaho Fish Report

The ice is holding steady because of the cold overnight temperatures, but no new ice is forming. The ice ranges 8 to 12 inches in many spots. Fishing has slowed down compared to a couple weeks ago. If you aren't getting bites, try to move around because the fish are likely biting somewhere else. A lot of anglers are using ATVs and sleds, but you should be very cautious. Haws now has water on the ice, and you can find open water near the Narrows. Last weekend, the best fishing was in 20 to 30 feet of water with ratfinkies, white tube jigs and orange-and-green gazillas. We still recommended using on- to two-inch jigs tipped with chub, mealworm or nightcrawler.
