Fishing success follows weather patterns. Success is good to excellent for bass during warm, calm days when water temperatures reach the mid 60s. Cool and windy days drop the temperature near 60°F and slow the fishing down to just fair or good. A variety of techniques are working when the fish are active. The keys to success include hitting the right depth and fishing a pattern you have confidence in. Fish are at depths of 10–20 feet and are moving up to beds on warm days. Anglers are also catching some nice crappie. Pleasure boaters are out in force on the weekends.
