Idaho Fish Report

Fish Lake is surprising clear right now with about 10-12 feet of visibility as of last Friday. This should benefit fly casters and anglers trolling flies and lures on light line. Limits of legal-sized rainbow have been reported by anglers fishing a half and half mixture of garlic and chartreuse powerbait near the boat ramp. Additional trout are being released this week and fishing should be very good.

The lake is 70 percent full. The Forest Service boat ramp is open. The Fish Lake Resort restaurant, boat launch, and campground are also open. Anglers are encouraged to report catches and send photos of larger spring Chinook or tiger trout to the local ODFW district office at 541-826-8774. Tiger trout must be released unharmed.
