Carla Molino of the Pyramid Lake Store at (775) 476-0555: Fishing has been pretty good for fly rods. Pelican Point turns on and off for fishing success. The Nets is the best fly fishing location, but trying to find a spot to fish is hard at times because of all the fishermen. The boat fishing has been spotty. The best fishing has been out in front of the fly fishermen at The Nets.

Fly fishing club meets on Apr. 4

The Carson Fly Fishing Club will hold its regular club meeting on Wednesday evening, Apr. 4. The evening's guest speaker will be Chris Wharton of Stillwater Guide Service and he will give a program on the techniques for fishing local waters. That meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), located at 5665 Morgan Mill Road.
