Rain this weekend will improve angling conditions

The Wilson River is getting some much-needed rain this weekend which should improve angling conditions. Usually fishing the drop after a freshet is best, but with such a long dry spell and fish stacked up down low, hitting this popular river this weekend on the rise could be a good bet. There are both hatchery and wild steelhead (catch-and-release only for wilds) throughout the fishery and this rain should get fish moving and bring in some fresh ones.
