Shad have returned to the Vegas Wash area and most striped bass anglers are catching and using live shad. Top-water action has yet to pick up but some fishermen have been catching a few fish with hardware. Shore anglers have been finding some success along the beaches near Hemenway as well. In the Overton Arm fishermen have been taking a few fish on lures in the Pumphouse Bay area and south of Echo Bay. Others have found success by trolling between Fire Cove and Overton Beach.
