Patti Apted of the Lake Sabrina Boat Landing (760-873-7425): Fishing this week remained on the slow side ?? perhaps due to the full moon. Those anglers with a bit of persistence and patience were still bringing out limits. The weather remained unseasonable warm for this time of year. Temperatures remained in the high 60's to low 70's with clouds coming in the afternoon. Salmon eggs and nightcrawlers are still the most productive baits working at the inlet. Rainbow Power Bait is what's working around the shore. Trolling worms or lures with a bit of red on them brought out several limits. Only one big fish was fished out of the lake this week: A nice 5 pounder using an olive woolly bugger.
