Anglers report good fishing with a variety of baits and lures. Effective options include a marshmallow-and-worm combo or a white tube jig with a black pepper head (also tipped with a worm). There is still a little bit of ice by the dam -- and in the adjacent cove -- and also at the south end of the reservoir, up to Taylors Hollow. The rest of the reservoir is open water. There is a lot of fishing access from the shoreline. The boat ramp is open, so you can launch your boats. However, we do not have any docks in the water; you will need to beach your boat to load and unload. Also, please remember to put the completed quagga mussel inspection form on your dashboard. If no one is at our gate when you come in to pay, go to the boat ramp and pick up a blank form at our big quagga mussel sign. If you don't have the form on your dashboard, you will receive a citation. Many thanks to Park Ranger Kent Cummings for the report.
