Fishing success follows the weather. Fishing is good to excellent for bass during warm, calm days when the water temperature reaches the mid 60s. Fishing is just fair on cool, windy days when the water temperature drops near 60 degrees fair. A variety of techniques will work when the fish are active. The keys to success are hitting the right depth and fishing with a pattern you are confident in. Fish are at depths of 10 to 20 feet and are moving up to beds on warm days. Anglers are also catching some nice-sized crappie. Recreational boaters are out in force on the weekends.
