Creel Clerk Rick Schulze reports good fishing for largemouth and bluegill, as well as fair fishing for rainbow trout. The best bluegill fishing has been on the reservoir's northeast side, where anglers are catching fish with a worm and bobber or flies. Those bluegill are looking great, averaging about eight inches long. Bass fishing has been up and down with the weather, but on good days, some anglers have reported catching 30 bass in one trip. Most bass are averaging about 12 inches long, with some of the bigger fish measuring 16–18 inches and weighing up to four pounds. Most bass are being caught on typical springtime gear, including plastics, crankbaits and drop-shot rigging.
