There are some very nice trout in Malheur Reservoir right now. Anglers were consistently catching trout this fall using a variety of methods. Recent sampling showed there are plenty of trout in the 17 to 20-inch range weighing around two pounds with good numbers of smaller trout as well.

Ice is now around 10 inches thick. Ice thickness and strength will be variable due to recent thawing and re-freezing.
