Anglers report great fishing. Boaters are catching lots of wipers (often four-pounders). There are still a few walleye biting here and there, but not many. Shore anglers are catching a few crappie. Anglers seem to have the best success early in the morning or late in the evening. DWR's Aquatics Biologist Chris Penne had a great day fishing Willard on Sunday afternoon. He fished from his kayak and caught four wipers while trolling with lipless crankbaits and a plastic grub. The fish were about 10-12 feet deep on the west side of the reservoir. Many thanks to Chris Penne and Park Ranger Travis Hancock for the reports.
